Drawings in Clay

Bryce begins each piece in clay. It is the responsiveness and immediacy of the material that captures each moment of clarity of gesture, expression, and form. When each piece is realized and complete, a rubber mold is made from the original. Then, either ceramic material is pressed into the mold, or an acrylic modified plaster material is poured in, creating a perfect casting of the original piece. The finished casting is colored in acrylic pigments.

Sculptures

The process for creating the sculptures is much the same as the "drawing". The primary difference being in the complexity of creating and casting a mold for a three dimensional piece.
